TUEEindhoven University of Technology (TUE) is a research university specializing in engineering science & technology. Our education, research and knowledge valorisation contribute to: science for society (solving the major societal issues and boosting prosperity and welfare by focusing on the Strategic Areas of Energy, Health and Smart Mobility), science for industry (the development of technological innovation in cooperation with industry), and science for science (progress in engineering sciences through excellence in key research cores and innovation in education). It contributes to the development of technological innovations and as a result to growth, prosperity and welfare in the immediate region (technology & innovation hotspot Eindhoven) and beyond. TUE is partner of two different EIT KICs (European Institute of Innovation & Technology, Knowledge & Innovation Community), EIT KIC ICT (ICTLabs) and EIT KIC InnoEnergy, both having a prominent node in Eindhoven.

In this project, TUE will be represented by LaQuSo, its Laboratory for Quality Software, which provides access to a wide range of research groups and their social and technical infrastructure, in particular on various aspects of model driven software engineering, secure and embedded networked systems, data and processing mining, algorithms and visualization, and adaptive learning systems. Since 2007, LaQuSo is one of the research laboratories of the Netherlands Institute for Research on ICT (NIRICT) and since 2011 it is also a value centre for the Eindhoven Institute for Research on ICT (EIRICT). LaQuSo is also active in the EIT KIC ICT and an active member of the Netherlands Standardization Institute’s NEN381007 committee on software and systems engineering related to ISO/IEC JTC1/SC7.

Contribution to the project:

TUE will provide access to a rather extensive spectrum of research groups as well as to the results of a large number of national and international projects in various application domains, in particular on e-health, energy, smart mobility, and high tech systems. LaQuSo will also provide its experience in bringing the results of new strategic research (exploration) to new services or new businesses (exploitation).
